Ideas so far... Themes

  • Hide and seek
  • All or Nothing
  • Highs and lows
  • Alone / A day in the life of the lonely
My first thought on this project was to take the photographs in a crowded place packed full of objects or people. It would be exciting to look at and the viewer would be able to pick out stories for themselves. BUT now I have looked into Panoramic photography closer I realise that this would be a big mistake for my first try. It would be to hard to match up all the moving people etc... Sometimes with Panoramic photography I think it can work if things haven't matched up perfectly so the whole image looks kind of distorted...But i'll save that for next time...

My favourite photographers are Larry Clark, Muzi Quawson and Nan Goldin. Nan Goldin has compared her photographs to her diary, Larry Clarks body of work Tulsa was taken of all his close friends in the 1960's so basically another diary and Muzi Quawson is heavily influenced by both Clark and Goldin.............
A lot of they're photographs are of people on there own, they make you think about the person in the photographs lives and what they are doing there all alone... This is what I am going to try and achieve with my panoramics.

Larry Clark

Muzi Quawson

Nan Goldin
